Bambi is about 220km from Johannesburg and Pretoria in Mpumalanga. From Pretoria / Johannesburg continue +- 200 km on N4. Turn left 5km past Machadodorp on Schoemanskloof road (R36). Proceed 5km and turn left at Goedewill sign onto a dirt road which can be very slippery in wet season. Site 9 km further on right.
Launch at Bambi is large and accommodating, with gently sloping grass to see you off on your flight. There are large top and bottom landings, makes it ideal for low airtime pilots.
The launch area has a covered shelter, toilet and plenty of space for gazebos and picnics and of course, parawaiting.
